I'm from Pakistan, and I seriously love the food and atmosphere at this Indian restaurant – it's a pure vegetarian spot! I ordered Mysore masala dosa, bread pakora, and idli wada sambhar with masala chai. All the other items on the menu are good and fresh too. The family section is separate, and the atmosphere is really pleasant. The seating is good, it's a clean place, and the food isn't too expensive, which is a huge plus compared to other restaurants. I'd recommend it for families and kids, but you can definitely go alone too.
I recently visited Puranmal’s Discovery branch and had such a wonderful experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Their sweets were absolutely delicious – rich in taste and made with great quality. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the ambience made it a really pleasant place to dine in. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you’re craving good food and delightful desi mithai.I’ll surely be coming back!
Visited Puranmal Restaurant and tried their pani puri – it was delicious and definitely a highlight! The flooda was average, nothing too special. Priced at 19 DHS, it felt a bit steep, but overall, I had a good experience. Worth a try if you’re craving some decent Indian street food!
The staff at Puranmal Restaurant appeared completely uninterested in assisting customers. I visited the restaurant to place a takeaway order. The first staff member I approached redirected me to the cashier without even asking what I wanted to order. At the cash counter, I waited for some time while the staff were busy with their own work, but no one bothered to ask about my requirement. The overall experience felt more like visiting a government office to claim a pension rather than a restaurant. Eventually, I left the place, and no one even cared to ask why I was leaving.

Worst Dining Experience in DIP – Misleading Billing & Disrespectful Management Avoid this place if you value honesty and basic service standards. We visited Puramal Sweets & Restaurant (DIP – Green Community) for a colleague’s birthday celebration. What happened was unacceptable. We ordered 4 plates of Raj Kachori under their Valentine’s offer (4+4). The waiter brought extra plates beyond what we ordered. We immediately stopped him and clearly said we had ordered only 4 plates. The waiter clearly told us: “You can eat it, we will not charge you for the extra.” Based on that assurance, the food stayed on the table. At billing time, the manager completely denied this and charged us for all plates. His response was: “You ate it, so you pay.” This is not hospitality — this is misrepresentation. Customers cannot be told one thing by staff and then forced to pay something else later. If your team makes a mistake, own it. Don’t push it onto customers. It didn’t stop there: • Tables were dirty • Service was slow and unorganized • Food was served cold • No proper cutlery provided • We had to repeatedly go to the counter ourselves • Staff coordination was chaotic • Manager was rude, argumentative, and dismissive The entire experience felt unprofessional and poorly managed. We went to celebrate a birthday. We left feeling cheated and disrespected. There are many better restaurants in DIP. Choose wisely.
Billing Misrepresentation & Extremely Poor Service – Very Disappointing We visited Puramal Sweets & Restaurant (DIP – Green Community) to celebrate a colleague’s birthday. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. We ordered 4 plates of Raj Kachori under the Valentine’s offer (4+4). The waiter first brought 4 plates, then another 4, and then unexpectedly brought additional plates. We immediately stopped him and clearly told him we had ordered only 4 plates. The waiter explicitly said: “You can eat it, we will not charge you for the extra plates.” Based on his assurance, the food remained on the table. However, when the manager came during billing, he refused to acknowledge what the waiter had promised. Despite explaining that we had clearly clarified the order and that the waiter insisted the extra would not be charged, the manager said: “You ate it, so you must pay.” This is unacceptable. Customers cannot be misled by staff assurances and then forced to pay later. If there was an internal mistake, it should not be transferred to the customer. Additionally, service quality was very poor: • Food was cold • Delayed service • No forks/spoons provided properly • We had to go to the counter ourselves • Manager’s attitude was rude and dismissive Instead of resolving the issue professionally, the manager handled it aggressively and without basic courtesy. We came to celebrate a birthday. Instead, we left feeling cheated and disrespected. Management seriously needs to improve staff training, billing transparency, and customer handling. Very disappointing
